Corsica. He loved his mother very much. He once said "My success, and everything good that I have done, I owe to my mother." Napoleon had a great love for his family.

"In my family, we kneel only to God." he said. Napoleon’s family was somewhat poor.

Napoleon attended a French military as a boy school in1779 at the age of ten. His school was located in Brienne, France. Napoleon was a skilled student in mathematics and artillery. He hated his French classmates because their country of France had conquered his homeland of Corsica at the time of his birth. Napoleon proved himself a good student and a smart leader. He later graduated from military school and became a second lieutenant in the artillery. He spent most of his time reading military books and studying the art of war.
